At Cronulla Golf Club, we provide a welcoming, relaxed and exclusive environment that suits golfers of all ages from aspiring players to professionals, competitive to social and retired.

Golf competitions run from Tuesday through to Sunday with all day Mondays available for member social golf. Golfing members are encouraged to play afternoon social golf which can include guests after golf competitions have concluded.

The golf facilities include warm up nets, practice putting greens, practice chipping green, practice fairway and space for personalised lessons with our golf professionals.

Members enjoy contemporary Club house facilities with restaurant quality food, extensive beverage range, delicious coffee, breathtaking views across the golf course, indoor children’s play area, regular live entertainment and private access to locker room facilities.

Full Playing Member ( CLOSED )

CATEGORY CLOSED

Entitled to all social privileges of the Club including the right to play social golf on any day and to play in organised competitions on any day (subject to any by-laws passed from time to time by the Board).

Bylaws: Full Playing Members may play in organized competitions on any day of the week subject to any relevant ‘Special Measure’ competition in place.

Restricted Full Playing Membership ( Waiting list in place )

Entitled to all social privileges of the Club including the right to play social golf on any day and to play in organised competitions on any day except Wednesdays and Fridays in accordance with any by-laws passed from time to time by the Board.

Bylaws: Restricted Full Playing Members may play in organized competitions on any day of the week subject to any relevant ‘Special Measure’ competition in place.
Restricted Full Playing Members may book in only after 4.00pm 3 days beforehand.
Exception: On any Public holiday, Restricted Full Playing Members may play in competition rounds when the fixture book specifies.

Playing Members shall be entitled to all social privileges of the Club including the right to play social golf on any day and to play in organised competitions on any day except Thursdays and Saturdays.

Bylaws: Playing Members may play in organized competitions on any day of the week except Thursdays and Saturdays subject to any relevant ‘Special Measure’ competition in place.
Exception: On any Public holiday, Playing Members may play in competition rounds when the fixture book specifies

Limited Playing Membership (Waiting list in place)

A Limited Playing Member shall be entitled to all the social privileges of the Club including the right to play social golf on any day as well as other social golf events as the Board may determine from time to time. The entitlement of a Limited Playing Member to play in organised competitions will be in accordance with any By-Laws passed from time to time by the Board. In addition, a Limited Playing Member shall not be entitled to play in any event conducted by the Club and defined in the Club Fixture Book as a major event or an event the winner of which whose name will be displayed on any Honour Board in the Clubhouse.

Limited Playing Members shall, subject to the rules of the relevant Veteran Golfers’ Association, also be entitled to play in their respective Men’s and Ladies’ Veteran events in accordance with any by-laws passed from time to time by the Board.

Bylaws: Limited Playing Members are not entitled to play in Club Competitions but may play Social golf on any day of the week as well as in Veterans / Senior Social events.
Current club organised social golf events that Limited Playing Members may play in include: Ex-Servicemen’s Trophy, Melbourne Cup Day, Easter Cup, Masters Breakfast, Pro Am and any other event deemed by the Board to be a social event.

Junior Playing Member - No Joining Fee (waiting list in place)

Junior Playing Members

Minimum age of 10 years, unless approved by the Board by exception.

Players under 18 years old that hold a current GA handicap.

May have advanced to Junior membership from Sub Junior membership or directly from another golf club holding a current GA handicap. It is a CGC expectation that Junior Members are active playing members and regularly play in Junior competitions and other eligible events.

Junior members shall be entitled to all social privileges of the Club including the right to play social golf on any day, and to play in organized competitions on any day of the week subject to any relevant ‘Special measure’ competition in place but may only book in after 4.00pm 2(two) days beforehand.

Any Junior Member who is awarded CGC Scholarship entitlements, are required to nominate and hold CGC as their home club.

Sub-Junior Playing Members

Players under 18 years old whom do not hold a current GA handicap.

Minimum age of 10 years.

Must have completed a CGC junior golf clinic and assessed by CGC Professional as possessing satisfactory playing ability etiquette, rules knowledge and behaviour and accepted as Sub Junior by the Membership Committee.

A Sub Junior Playing Member has access to practice facilities. Sub Junior members shall be entitled to social privileges of the Club including the right to play social golf.

 

CONTEXTUAL NOTE: THE Sub-Junior Playing category recognises the following:”

Junior Development (not a CGC membership category)

Minimum age of 10 years. May participate in CGC Junior golf clinics.

Access to practice facilities before and after clinics with parents or grandparents. No social golf course access.

Opportunity to qualify for Sub Junior Membership.

  • successful CGC Professional assessment to determining satisfactory etiquette, rules knowledge, behaviour and playing ability and demonstrated keen attitude and commitment to further develop their golf.
  • Recommendation to Membership Committee for acceptance into the Sub-Junior Membership category.

2024-2025 Junior Playing Member $250 – application form

On turning 18 Junior or Sub Junior members will be transferred to Cadet Membership

Cadet Members

A Cadet Member has the same playing privileges as a Full Playing Member subject to any relevant ‘Special Measure’ competition in place.

Cadet Entrance fee

Any junior member who transfers into the cadet category of membership upon turning the age of 18 will be required to pay the current entrance fee in full, unless they remain in the cadet membership category continuously for a period of 12 years (ages 18-29).

  • This entrance fee payable will then be set 15% of the full joining fee rate.
  • Cadet members will be required to pay this entrance fee off over 12 equal annual instalments from the ages 18-29.
  • If a cadet member requests a transfer into any other golfing membership category prior to the age of 30, they will be subject to pay the full entrance fee (at that time) less any increment payments already made, prior to such a transfer being approved
  • If they choose not to pay the entrance fee owed, they will be required to resign their membership.

Exception: Board only approved leave of absence due to either undertaking an overseas educational golfing college scholarship or competing in an overseas PGA tour as a PGA accredited golfing professional.
